When CeX opened its new store in Newquay, we were brought in to deliver the complete signage and graphics package — from the illuminated external fascia through to the detailed internal branding.
With short lead times and multiple trades working simultaneously on site, the project required careful coordination, accurate production and the flexibility to respond quickly as the fit-out progressed.
The store frontage was finished with a bespoke folded aluminium tray fascia, incorporating push-through acrylic lettering and trough illumination.
Designed to provide a clean, high-impact finish, the illuminated fascia gives the store a strong presence while maintaining the consistent visual identity required across the CeX estate.
The glazing was also treated as part of the overall customer-facing experience. Optically clear protective vinyl was applied internally to protect the windows before the external window branding was installed, providing a durable solution without compromising the appearance of the graphics.
Inside the store, a combination of materials and production techniques was used to deliver the required graphics package.
Wall graphics incorporated both foam PVC and aluminium composite panels, while Contravision was used for selected glazed areas to combine high-impact branding with visibility through the windows.
The counter front was finished using bespoke polycarbonate graphic panels, providing a durable and visually striking focal point within the customer area.
The project was delivered as a complete service, with our team managing every stage from initial site survey and prepress artwork adjustment through to proofing, manufacture and installation.
This end-to-end approach allowed us to maintain control over quality, consistency and deadlines, while ensuring that all elements were ready to install as the wider store fit-out progressed.
CeX operates a combination of company-owned and franchise stores, with both new openings and refurbishment programmes often working to tight deadlines.
In this environment, flexibility is just as important as manufacturing capability. Installation teams need to work around other trades, respond to changing site conditions and maintain progress without compromising the quality of the finished installation.
For the Newquay store, close coordination and an eye for detail were essential. From the alignment of the illuminated fascia to the application of the window graphics and positioning of the internal panels, every element needed to be delivered accurately and efficiently.
Keeping the required expertise and manufacturing capabilities in-house gives us the flexibility to manage complex retail projects from start to finish.
For CeX Newquay, that meant combining survey, artwork preparation, specialist manufacturing and installation within one coordinated service — helping to keep the project moving and ensuring the finished store was ready to open on programme.
The result is a complete signage and graphics installation that brings the CeX brand consistently from the street frontage through to the customer environment inside.
